UAE's Securities And Commodities Authority: Next Thursday Is Al Hijri New Year Holiday For Securities Markets

Pursuant to the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) circular No. (40) of 2015 concerning Al Hijri new year holiday for the UAE ministries and federal bodies, and after consultation with the management of securities markets, the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) announced, in a press release, that it has been decided that securities markets are to close on Thursday, October 15, 2015 and reopen on Sunday, October 18.

CME Group Announces Elizabeth Holmes As The 2015 Melamed-Arditti Innovation Award Recipient

CME Group's Center for Innovation announced today that Elizabeth Holmes, founder and CEO of Theranos, is the 11th recipient of the CME Group Melamed-Arditti Innovation Award. Holmes founded the revolutionary blood diagnostics company, Theranos, to change health care from reactive to proactive, empowering individuals to usher in a new era of preventive care. CME Group will present the award at the eighth annual Global Financial Leadership Conference in Naples, Florida, on Tuesday, November 17.

The trading volume of stocks totalled RUB 0.7 trln in September. The average daily trading volume was RUB 33 bln, down 12% MoM. The T+2 sector made up 93% of the total secondary market trading volume and the T0 sector accounted for 7%.
