SGX: No Changes To Straits Times Index After Quarterly Review

Singapore Press Holdings (SPH), Singapore Exchange (SGX) and FTSE Russell announce today that constituents of the Straits Times Index (STI) will remain unchanged following the conclusion of its quarterly review.

ICE Trade Vault Europe Approved By ESMA As Trade Repository For FX Derivatives

Intercontinental Exchange (NYSE: ICE), the leading global network of exchanges and clearing houses, announced today that the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) approved ICE Trade Vault Europe Limited (ICE Trade Vault Europe) to extend its Trade Repository registration for the reporting of foreign-exchange (FX) derivatives trade data. The approval meets requirements of the European Market Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR). ICE Trade Vault Europe will assume the collection of FX derivatives data, which includes futures, options and forwards, with immediate effect.

ECC: Banca Popolare Di Sondrio Becomes New General Clearing Member

European Commodity Clearing (ECC) has welcomed Banca Popolare di Sondrio, Sondrio (Italy), as a new General Clearing Member (GCM). As a GCM, the bank is now authorised to provide clearing services for all Non-Clearing Members of ECC as well as for all products and markets cleared by ECC. Initially, Banca Popolare di Sondri will offer clearing services for natural gas spot and power products.

ACER Invites Stakeholders To Provide Input For The Agency’s 2016 Work Programme

Alberto Pototschnig, Director of the EU Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators, presented yesterday the draft outline of the Agency’s 2016 Work Programme at a public workshop held in Ljubljana. ICE Endex Collaborates With GME And Snam To Introduce Italian Natural Gas (PSV) Futures Contracts In September 2015

Intercontinental Exchange (NYSE:ICE), the leading global network of exchanges and clearing houses, today announced that ICE Endex expects to introduce physically delivered Italian natural gas futures contracts (Punto di Scambio Virtuale – Virtual Trading Point; PSV) in cooperation with Gestore dei Mercati Energetici S.p.A (GME) and Snam S.p.A., and in compliance with Italian law. The contract will launch on September 14, 2015, subject to regulatory approvals.

Platts: Global Petrochemical Prices Continued To Climb In May - May Rise Of 4% Marked The Fourth Consecutive Month Of Increase

Prices in the $3-trillion-plus global petrochemicals market climbed another 4% month over month in May, for a fourth month of rebound following six consecutive months of falling prices. Petrochemical prices, expressed as a monthly average, increased $41 per metric ton (/mt) from April to $1,093/mt in May, according to the just-released monthly Platts Global Petrochemical Index (PGPI).
