New Shanghai Stock Exchange Rules Guide Private Funds In Exchange-traded Bond Market

At the end of May, the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) publicly released the supporting rules for listing of corporate bonds, making it clear that private fund managers registered with the Asset Management Association of China (AMAC) and private fund products filed at the AMAC can, as qualified investors, participate in subscription for and trading of all bond products on the SSE. The above bond products include public corporate bonds, private corporate bonds, enterprise bonds, convertible bonds, treasury bonds, local government bonds, asset-backed securities and all other spot bonds as well as collateralized repo of bonds, pre-issuance trading of treasury bonds and other bond products that are listed or traded on the SSE.

UK's Financial Conduct Authority: Lloyds Banking Group Fined £117m For Failing To Handle PPI Complaints Fairly

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has issued its largest ever retail fine (£117m) to Lloyds Bank Plc, Bank of Scotland Plc and Black Horse Ltd (together Lloyds) for failing to treat their customers fairly when handling Payment Protection Insurance (PPI) complaints between March 2012 and May 2013.

Assets Invested In The Global ETF/ETP Industry Broke Through The 3 Trillion US Dollar Milestone At The End Of May According To ETFGI

Assets invested in ETFs/ETPs listed globally broke through the US$ 3 trillion milestone at the end of May to reach a new record of US$3.015 trillion in assets under management AUM, according to ETFGI’s preliminary monthly ETF and ETP global insight report for May 2015. At the end of May 2015, the Global ETF/ETP industry had 5,757 ETFs/ETPs, with 11,117 listings, from 256 providers listed on 62 exchanges in 51 countries.

The Autorité des marchés financiers (the “AMF”) today reported on its enforcement of the laws governing the Québec financial sector in 2014. A total of 64 individuals and 38 firms were sanctioned for various offences under the laws administered by the AMF last year, and $8,708,753 in fines, penalties and sanctions were imposed further to AMF intervention.
