SET Steps Up As “Transition Enabler” To Help Thai Firms Cut Emissions, Access Green Finance

KEY POINTS
- SET advances its role as a “Transition Enabler”, supporting Thai companies to drive Thai businesses toward a low-carbon economy through the development tools and mechanisms. These include a carbon credit auction system under the Low Carbon Cities and Carbon Market Development project - expected to launch by 2027 - and the SETCarbon Platform, which enables businesses to systematically manage greenhouse gas data, enhance data credibility, and effectively develop transition plans.
- In collaboration with Singapore Management University (SMU), SET co-hosted the Climate Finance Forum, where panelists proposed the integration of public policies, financial incentives, funding mechanisms, and climate data to accelerate the shift to net-zero emissions to accelerate the transition and achieve net-zero targets, while strengthening resilience against future climate uncertainties.
