Crypto Asset Exchange-Traded Products, SEC Division Of Corporation Finance

As part of an effort to provide greater clarity on the application of the federal securities laws to crypto assets, the Division of Corporation Finance is providing its views on the application of certain disclosure requirements under the federal securities laws to offerings and registrations of securities by issuers of crypto asset exchange-traded products (“crypto asset ETPs”). Crypto asset ETPs are investment products that are listed and traded on national securities exchanges. They are typically structured as trusts that hold assets which consist of spot crypto assets or derivative instruments that reference crypto assets. These trusts are issuers of securities who must register their offerings and classes of securities under the Securities Act of 1933 (“Securities Act”) and Securities Exchange Act of 1934 (“Exchange Act”), respectively. Issuers of crypto asset ETPs are also subject to the anti-fraud provisions of the federal securities laws. However, the crypto asset ETPs addressed in this statement are not registered as investment companies under the Investment Company Act of 1940.

MIAX Exchange Group - Options Markets - Fee Change To Extend Historical Open-Close Report Data Discount

On June 30, 2025, MIAX Options Exchange, MIAX Pearl Options Exchange, MIAX Emerald Options Exchange, and MIAX Sapphire Options Exchange filed with the SEC to extend the following discount for historical data requests to current monthly subscribers of the Open-Close Report:
- From July 1, 2025 through December 31, 2025, any single purchase of $20,000 or more of historical End-of-Day Open-Close Report data and/or historical Intra-Day Open-Close Report data by an existing subscriber to the End-of-Day or Intra-Day Open-Close Report, will receive a 20% discount when the subscriber purchases the same category of historical data for which they have a monthly subscription.
- For MIAX Sapphire Options Exchange only, the 20% discount will apply to any single purchase of historical End-of-Day Open-Close Report data and/or historical Intra-Day Open-Close Report data by an existing subscriber to the End-of-Day or Intra-Day Open-Close Report, when the subscriber purchases the same category of historical data for which they have a monthly subscription

New York Attorney General James Urges Congress To Update Cryptocurrency Legislation To Protect Investors - Federal Stablecoin Legislation Should Regulate Stablecoin Issuers Similar To Banks, Including FDIC Insurance On Stablecoin Deposits

New York Attorney General Letitia James today sent a letter to congressional leaders urging them to strengthen pending cryptocurrency legislation to protect investors. The United States Senate recently passed the Guiding and Establishing National Innovation for U.S. Stablecoins (GENIUS) Act, which purports to legalize and regulate stablecoins. Stablecoins are a type of cryptocurrency that are pegged to another asset, such as the U.S. dollar, and are often prone to anonymous transactions that can be linked to criminal activity. Attorney General James warns that legalizing the issuance of stablecoins without substantial regulatory supervision puts the American public at risk. To protect investors, the economy, and national security, Attorney General James recommends that congressional leaders strengthen the GENIUS Act by regulating the issuers of stablecoins in a similar manner to banks, and offer insurance provided by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) on stablecoin deposits.

On 1 July 2025, the Board of Directors of Hellenic Exchanges – Athens Stock Exchange SA has received an unsolicited, non-binding and highly conditional all share takeover proposal from Euronext. The Board, together with its advisors, is evaluating the proposal from a strategic and financial perspective. The Board has not entered into any discussions with Euronext at this time and will respond in due course.
