NYSE Opening Bell On 9/11 To Follow Memorial Service

On Sept. 11, the New York Stock Exchange will open for trading 30 minutes after the conclusion of the memorial service being held at the World Trade Center site, but not before 11 a.m. Should the event last longer than its anticipated 10:29 a.m. conclusion, the NYSE will delay its opening beyond 11 a.m. The Exchange will announce the exact timing of the opening bell following conclusion of the memorial service.

NYBOT Announces Revised September 11th Trading Schedule

The New York Board of Trade (NYBOT®) announced today that the September 11th trading schedule has been revised to reflect a 10:38 a.m. opening call for the Sugar No. 14 Contract. Following the Sugar No. 14 opening call, trading will be suspended until the completion of the Sugar No. 11 opening call which shall commence at 10:40 a.m. The complete trading schedule for NYBOT products is as follows:

Nasdaq Liffe Markets, LLC (NQLX) yesterday announced the publication of its rulebook, which contains trading, governance, and other rules recently approved by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). Hong Kong Futures Exchange Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited, will adjust the contract terms of all open futures contracts on shares of Mosel Vitelic Inc (MOS) and all open option contracts on MOS Futures before the market opening on the ex-rights date of Tuesday, 10 September 2002 to take account of the rights issue of MOS. August Trading Volume At CBOE: Index Options Volume Increases 42% - Open Interest Rises 20% And Average Daily Volume Up 3%

The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) announced significant gains in August volume totals as index options volume for the month increased 42% over last year; exchange-wide average daily volume increased 3% versus last August; and open interest at the end of the month increased 20% over the previous year's total.

Active KCBT Trading Leads To Single-Day Options Record

Trading yesterday in the Kansas City Board of Trade wheat futures and wheat options contracts was active, leading the wheat options contract to set a new single-day record of 9,530 contracts. The previous record of 9,491 contracts was set on June 18 of this year. Additionally, wheat futures trading tallied 23,643 contracts, making yesterday the largest-volume trading session in 2002.
