PHLX specialists can now trade from remote sites through a sophisticated trading network.

CME's Globex® Electronic Trading Volume Rises To Record Levels As E-Mini S&P 500 Futures Volume Surpasses 400,000 Contracts

Trading volume on GLOBEX®, the electronic trading platform of Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. (CME), rose to record levels yesterday, April 10, with 726,567 contracts traded. This record surpasses the previous one set on March 6, of 704,711 contracts.

CBOE Publishes First Buy-Write Index, "BXM"

The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) today announced that it began disseminating the CBOE BuyWrite Monthly Index, (BXM). The BXM is a benchmark index that measures potential returns of a theoretical portfolio of Standard & Poor's 500 Index stocks that also systematically sells S&P 500 Index call options (SPX) against the portfolio.

LIFFE Announces 4 More Universal Stock Futures

The London International Financial Futures and Options Exchange (LIFFE) has announced that it will list a further four Universal Stock Futures from 10 May 2002. From that date a total of 122 Universal Stock Futures will be available, the greatest number and the broadest range of international single stock futures on any exchange in the world. The 122 companies have an underlying market capitalisation of over €7 trillion.
