Along with a number of exchanges in Europe, the OMX Nordic Exchange in Stockholm, Helsinki, Copenhagen, Tallinn, Riga and Vilnius will observe two minutes of silence at 13:00 CET on Monday, September 11, 2006 in commemoration of the victims of the attacks in the United States on September 11, 2001.<

SGX Launches New Futures Trading Rulebook And Clearing Rules To Meet New Market Initiatives

The Singapore Exchange (SGX) has completed a major revision of its existing Derivatives Trading Rulebook after two rounds of public consultations. The new and improved Rulebook better caters to the key regulatory and market developments of the industry including the launch of a new commodities futures market called JADE. The new Futures Trading Rulebook will come into effect on 22 September 2006.

Oslo Børs To Establish A New Marketplace For Shares

Oslo Børs has applied to the Ministry of Finance for permission to establish an authorised marketplace for shares and primary capital certificates. The principal intention is to offer a regulated market place for companies that do not meet the requirements for a normal stock exchange listing. Oslo Børs plans to launch the new marketplace early in 2007.

New Commodity ETF Launched In The XTF Segment On Xetra - EasyETF GSAL Offers Exposure In Livestock And Agriculture Deutsche Börse Is Europe’s Largest ETF Platform

Deutsche Börse has further expanded its XTF segment for international exchange-traded index funds (ETFs) on the electronic trading platform Xetra. With effect from Monday 11 September, a new commodity ETF issued by AXA Fund Management SA is tradable in XTF. The new index fund offers investors pure commodity exposure in an equity vehicle, rather than commodity-related equity exposure.
