Quarterly Rebalancing And Annual IWF Review For S&P Asia 50 Index

Standard & Poor’s will make the following changes to the S&P Asia 50 Index as part of the September quarterly rebalancing and annual Investible Weight Factors review. Please refer to the table attached for adjustments, which include changes of index constituent shares and IWFs. The changes listed below will become effective after the close of trading Friday September 15, 2006.

OneChicago, LLC reported that 1,039,471 security futures contracts traded at the Exchange in August, an all-time monthly volume record. Average daily volume was a record 45, 194, a 160% increase over August 2005 volume.

The New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc. announced today that for the first time daily volume of the NYMEX energy futures contracts traded on CME Globex crossed the 200,000 contract milestone, when 208,928 contracts were traded yesterday.

Landmark Judgment By The Competition Appeal Tribunal In Favour Of The LME: "OFT's Investigative Process Was Superficial, Flawed And Ill-Founded"

The Competition Appeals Tribunal (CAT) has found, in all circumstances, in favour of the LME, in its appeal for costs against the OFT’s imposition of an interim measures direction (IMD). The OFT imposed the IMD on 27 February 2006 preventing the LME from extending the opening hours of Select (its electronic trading system) to cover Asian trading hours. The IMD was withdrawn by the OFT wholly and unconditionally on 15 May 2006.

All approved users of the ISE Stock Exchange will have access to the MidPoint Match platform.
