On Oct. 10, 2007, the open interest of cotton futures contracts on Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange (ZCE) hit a new high at 128542 contracts, exceeding the last record of 126634 contracts set on Sep. 24, 2007.

Dow Jones Indexes, a leading global index provider, today announced the launch of the Dow Jones Islamic Market China/Hong Kong Titans Index, the latest addition to the Dow Jones Islamic Market (DJIM) Index family. The new index tracks 30 of the largest Shari’ah-compliant companies whose primary operations are in mainland China and Hong Kong but trade at the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited.

Daylight Saving Time: BM&F Announces New Trading Hours

The Arabica coffee, Ibovespa, mini Ibovespa, IbrX-50 and soybean markets traded at BM&F will have new trading hours due to the beginning of the daylight saving time in Brazil (from October 14, 2007 thru February 15, 2008) and the end of the daylight saving time in the United States (on November 4, 2007).

The end-of-September short interest represents 4.44 days average daily NASDAQ Global Market share volume for the reporting period, compared with 4.00 days for the prior reporting period.
