CME Group Surpasses One Billion Contracts Traded On CME Globex In A Single Year - Rise In Volume Seen From Growth In Electronic Options, International Customers And Market Volatility

CME Group, the world's largest and most diverse exchange, announced today that for the first time it surpassed one billion contracts traded electronically on CME Globex(R), the exchange's electronic trading platform, in a single year, excluding non-traditional TRAKRS(R) futures contracts. This milestone was reached during yesterday's trading session.

The Disciplinary Committee of OMX Nordic Exchange Helsinki has issued Stora Enso Oyj with a warning for breaching stock exchange rules. The company violated the requirement for simultaneous disclosure when disclosing the interim report.

UK’s Financial Services Authority Eligible Assets Directive Implementation Provides Clarification For UCITS Managers

The Financial Services Authority (FSA) today set out proposals to implement the EU Eligible Assets Directive (EAD) and the related Committee of European Securities Regulators (CESR) guidelines for operators of Undertakings for Collective Investments In Transferable Securities (UCITS) schemes. The EAD helps with the definition of which assets are eligible for UCITS schemes to invest in.

Hong Kong Futures Exchange Limited (HKFE), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx), has announced that with effect from the commencement of trading on Tuesday, 9 October 2007, the minimum margins to be collected by an Exchange Participant from its clients in respect of their dealings in the following futures contracts will be as outlined in the table below. The adjustments are based on the clearing company's normal procedures and standard margining method
