NYMEX Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:NMX), the parent company of the New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc., received an opinion from the Second Circuit Court of Appeals affirming the U.S. District Court's dismissal of NYMEX's claims for copyright and trademark infringement against the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) from ICE's inappropriate use of NYMEX's settlement prices for its benchmark energy contracts, including light, sweet crude oil and Henry Hub natural gas futures.

The CBOE Futures Exchange, LLC (CFE) announced today that trading volume during July 2007 totaled 121,285 contracts, an increase of 314% over July 2006's volume of 29,295 contracts. July was the busiest month ever at CFE, surpassing the previous record of 81,952 contracts traded in June 2007. During July the traded volume in Rofex totalled u$s 2,643 millions, surpassing by a 41% the volume traded in the same period of 2006 and by a 10% its previous historical record of u$s 2,412 millions. The agitated week registered in the world’s financial markets, which had a stronger impact on the local market, affected the future dollar market, where u$s 1,144 millions were negotiated.

Deutsche Börse: 106 Percent Rise In Turnover On Xetra In July - Total Volume Of €260 Billion Traded On All Stock Exchanges In Germany

In July €237.4 billion were turned over on Xetra and on the floor of Börse Frankfurt – a rise of 105 percent year-on-year (July 2006: €115,8 billion). Thereof €222,2 billion were traded on Xetra gaining 106 percent year-on-year (July 2006: €107.9 billion) and €15.2 billion on the floor (July 2006: €8 billion). German equities accounted for €220,9 billion, foreign equities comprising €12 billion. More than 97 percent of the transaction volume with German equities was executed at Börse Frankfurt.

Eurex Trading Volumes Rose By 52 Percent To 162 Million Contracts In July - Equity Index Derivatives Grew By 66 Percent And Reached 62.5 Million Contracts

Trading volume at the international derivatives exchange Eurex reached 162.4 million contracts, a rise of 52 percent year on year (July 2006: 107 million). The daily average trading volume was 7.4 million compared with 5.1 million a year ago. Drivers of growth were the segments equity index and fixed income derivatives. The first seven months of this year saw a volume of 1.13 billion contracts, an increase of 22 percent over the same period last year.

Winnipeg Commodity Exchange Volume For 2006/07 Crop Year Sets Record

Total volume of trade on Winnipeg Commodity Exchange Inc. ("WCE") for the 2006/07 crop year (August 1/06 through July 31/07) set an all-time record at 3,183,573 futures and options contracts. This level of trade is 22.7% higher than a year ago and surpasses the previous record of 3,098,918 contracts set in the 2000/01 crop year.
