Boerse Stuttgart Turnover Exceeds EUR 10 Billion In February - Positive Start To The Year Continues / High Trading Volumes In All Asset Classes

According to its order book statistics, Boerse Stuttgart’s turnover in February 2011 was more than EUR 10.3 billion. This means trading volumes were at about the same level as in January, and more than 40 percent higher than in February 2010.

Williams Grand Prix Holdings PLC (ISIN: DE000A1H6VM4) joined the Entry Standard of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange today, 2 March. The IPO included an offering of 2,409,383 no-par value ordinary bearer shares. The issue price was €25.00 and the initial listing price €25.25.

February volumes on the Dubai Gold and Commodities Exchange (DGCX) grew 17 % year-on-year to reach 210,330 contracts, valued at $10.07 billion. Year-to-date volume in 2011 also increased 37% on 2010 levels to reach 454,715 contracts.

JSE Launches Any Day Expiry Currency Contracts

The JSE has launched a new initiative on the foreign currency contracts, namely the “Any Day Expiry”. These new currency derivative contracts broaden the exchange’s existing range of currency futures and options contracts and allow investors the flexibility to pick the expiry date of the contract.

EEX Chief Executive Resigns From Board Of Management

Dr. Hans-Bernd Menzel has asked the Members of the Supervisory Board of European Energy Exchange AG (EEX) and European Commodity Clearing AG (ECC) to terminate the existing employment and the legal relationships to subsidiaries in best mutual agreement for personal reasons. The Members of the Supervisory Board have amicably agreed on this request.
