  • HKEx Welcomes Government Re-appointments to HKEx's Risk Management Committee

    Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) welcomes the Government’s re-appointments of Professor Chan Ngai-hang and Michael Liu Swee-long as members of HKEx’s Risk Management Committee (RMC).  The appointment, made under the Securities and Futures Ordinance, is for a term of two years with effect from 1 July 2013.

    The Market Operations Committee of ATHEX, during today's session, approved the application of price fluctuation limits of ±10%, for July 2013, for the low turnover velocity Stocks of the ATHEX Main Market (monthly average velocity of last month less or equal to 0.01%) presented in Table 1, according to the ATHEX Board Decision 22.

  • HKFE Announces Revised Margins For China Construction Bank And Industrial And Commercial Bank Futures

    Hong Kong Futures Exchange Limited (HKFE), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx), has announced that with effect from the commencement of trading on Wednesday, 3 July 2013, the minimum margins to be collected by an Exchange Participant from its clients in respect of their dealings in the following futures contracts will be as outlined in the table below.  The adjustments are based on the clearing company’s normal procedures and standard margining methodology.

  • Distinguished Financial Economist Professor Darrell Duffie Appointed As MAS Term Professor At NUS

    The National University of Singapore (NUS) and the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) have jointly appointed Professor Darrell Duffie, Dean Witter Distinguished Professor of Finance at Stanford University's Graduate School of Business, as MAS Term Professor in Economics and Finance from 30 June to 6 July 2013. Professor Duffie will be hosted by the NUS Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences’ Department of Economics, the NUS Business School, and the Economic Policy Group at the MAS during the term of the Professorship.
