UK’s Financial Conduct Authority Charges Two In Relation To An Unauthorised Investment Scheme

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has charged Alex Hope of Docklands, London and Raj Von Badlo of Bourne End, Buckinghamshire with a total of ten offences relating to an unauthorised investment scheme they promoted and operated. The scheme purported to carry out FOREX trading for the benefit of investors and is believed to have taken over £5 million from investors.

NASDAQ OMX To Launch Marketplace Designed For Exchange Traded Products

The NASDAQ OMX Group, Inc. (Nasdaq:NDAQ), the world's largest exchange company, today announced that it will re-launch NASDAQ OMX PSX^(SM) (PSX^(SM)) in an effort to create the leading marketplace for Exchange Traded Products (ETPs). The price-time exchange will offer unique market making programs and features designed to provide robust liquidity to institutional and retail investors. PSX will re-launch in May 2013 pending approval by the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Warsaw Stock Exchange Continues NewConnect Reform In Partnership With The Market

• The Warsaw Stock Exchange introduces major amendments to the ATS Rules concerning the conditions of introduction of financial instruments to trading and the scope of the information document, and strengthens disclosure obligations of companies and requirements for Authorised Advisers.
• The amendments, which derive from analytical work carried out by the WSE, external experts and representatives of the capital market community, are part of a project designed to reform the Alternative Trading System and take effect as of 1 June 2013.

Thai Bourse’s First “TFEX Open House” Declared A Success

The Thailand Futures Exchange PCL (TFEX), under The Stock Exchange of Thailand group, wrapped up its first “TFEX Open House” with a success.  The event, aimed at helping expand the quality investor base and held during April 27-28 at Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, Bangkok, attracted more than 2,500 participants, of which 80% were first-time derivatives investors, who joined the event to gather information on derivatives to help them make investment decisions.
