The Saudi Arabian Capital Market Authority Announces Publishing The Amended Draft Of The Instructions Of Book Building Process And Allocation Method In Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) For Public Consultation

The Capital Market Authority (CMA) invited specialists, interested persons and the public to give their opinions and remarks on the Amended Draft of The Instructions of Book Building Process and Allocation Method in Initial Public Offerings, which is made available on the CMA's website starting today, and for 30 calendar days, through the official communication channels of the CMA. The CMA assured that all suggestions and remarks will be taken in full consideration in order to approve the final form of the instructions.

Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc., Osaka Exchange, Inc., Nagoya Stock Exchange, Inc., Fukuoka Stock Exchange, Sapporo Securities Exchange, SBI Japannext Co., Ltd., and Chi-X Japan Limited have decided to shorten the stock trading settlement cycle from T+3 to T+2. This decision was made in recognition of the urgency and importance of realizing a secure and efficient securities settlement system for enhancing the international competitiveness of Japan’s securities market.

As a continuation of the CMA’s efforts to regulate and develop the capital market, and increase the attractiveness of the market to foreign investors and proceeding to achieve (Saudi Vision 2030), and based on the Capital Market Law issued by the Royal Decree Number (M/30) Dated 2/6/1424H, the CMA Board has issued its resolution allowing non-resident foreign investors to invest directly in the Parallel Market starting from 14/4/1439H corresponding to 1/1/2018G.
