A total turnover of 1.394 billion shares worth N16.403 billion in 19,195 deals were traded this week by investors on the floor of the Exchange in contrast to a total of 872.892 million shares valued at N14.016 billion that exchanged hands last week in 19,047 deals.  

Office Of The Comptroller Of The Currency Seeks Comment On Proposed Technical Changes To Annual Stress Test Rule

The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) today announced it is seeking comment on a notice of proposed rulemaking amending the OCC’s Annual Stress Test rule. The proposed changes would make several technical revisions to the stress testing regulation.

ESMA: Listed Issuers Must Focus On New IFRS Standards In 2017 Annual Financial Reports

The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) today published the priorities to be considered by listed companies, and their auditors, when preparing and auditing their 2017 financial statements. These priorities are set out in the annual Public Statement on European Common Enforcement Priorities (Statement), through which ESMA promotes the consistent application of the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).  

Office Of The Comptroller Of The Currency Bulletin: Annual Stress Test: Notice Of Proposed Rulemaking - Technical And Conforming Changes

Summary

The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) proposes to implement several technical and conforming changes to the OCC’s Annual Stress Test rule (12 CFR 46). The proposed rule would change the range of possible “as-of” dates used in the global market shock component to conform to changes recently made by the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System to its stress testing regulations. The proposed rule would also change the transition period for an institution that becomes an over $50 billion covered institution. Finally, the proposed rule would make certain technical changes to clarify the requirements of the OCC’s stress testing regulation. The notice of proposed rulemaking was issued in the Federal Register on October 27, 2017, with a 60-day comment period.

Borsa Istanbul: Periodic Review For The BIST-KYD Corporate Eurobond Indices For The Period Of November 2017 Has Been Finalized

In accordance with the article 3.3. of BIST-KYD Indices Ground Rules, periodic review for the BIST-KYD Corporate Eurobond Indices for the period of November 2017 (November 1, 2017–November 30, 2017) has been finalized. According to the results of the periodic review, the Eurobond, whose issue information is given below, will be included in BIST-KYD Corporate Eurobond USD and BIST-KYD Corporate Eurobond USD (TRY) Indices, effective from November 1, 2017.

EBA: Consultation On RTS On Home-Host Cooperation Under PSD2

The European Banking Authority (EBA) launched today a public consultation on draft regulatory technical standards (RTS) specifying the framework for cooperation and the exchange of information between competent authorities under the revised Payment Services Directive (PSD2). The RTS also clarify the type of information as well as the templates to be used by payment institutions when reporting to the competent authorities of the host Member States on the payment business activities carried out in their territories. The consultation runs until 5 January 2018.
