Osaka Mercantile Exchange Aluminium Futures Monthly Report

On December 1, distant month opened 1.8 yen higher at 162.5 yen from the previous Month's level on short-covering due to a lull in the yen's strength. Later, LME aluminium went higher on lack of alumina supplies. With this factor, on December 9, distant month at OME advanced further to 164.9 yen on short covering by players who felt that the prices at OME were relatively lower than at LME.

Nymex To Increase Margins On Heating Oil Futures

The New York Mercantile Exchange will increase the margins on its February 2000 heating oil futures contract as of the close of business today to $4,500 from $2,500 for clearing members; to $4,950 from $2,750 for members; and to $6,075 from $3,375 for customers. The margins on all other months of the contracts will remain unchanged.

Deutsche Börse And Eurex Offer Expanded Information On Derivatives Trading - Eurex Market Depth Enables Direct Access To Overview Of Five Best Bid And Ask Prices

The Information Products Division of Deutschen Börse has been disseminating additional information on trading in derivatives products at Eurex, the European derivatives exchange, since January 17: The so-called Eurex Market Depth shows the five best bid and ask prices in the Eurex order book for selected products like futures on the DAX, SMI, Dow Jones Euro STOXX, Bund, Bobl and Schatz as well as the prices and volumes of these orders.

Nymex To Increase Margins On Propane Futures

The New York Mercantile Exchange will raise the margins on its propane futures contract as of the close of business today to $1,400 from $1,200 for clearing members; to $1,540 from $1,320 for members; and to $1,890 from $1,620 for customers.

Nymex To Increase Margins On Crude Oil And Petroleum Product Contracts

The New York Mercantile Exchange will raise the margins on its crude oil, unleaded gasoline, and heating oil futures contracts as of the close of business today to $2,500 from $2,000 for clearing members; to $2,750 from $2,200 for members; and to $3,375 from $2,700 for customers.

Nasdaq Share Volume Record Approaches Two Billion Composite Index Also Climbs To A Record High

The Nasdaq Stock Market® announced today that it experienced its heaviest trading session ever, with preliminary figures showing more than 1.908 billion shares changed hands. Daily volume so far this year has averaged 1.623 billion shares. The Nasdaq Composite® Index also closed at a record high for the third consecutive day. Preliminary data indicates the Composite gained 45.89 points to close at a record high 4235.40. It was the composite's fourth record close of the year.

Extension Of Pre-Open Period - Johannesburg Stock Exchange

On 15 September 1999, the JSE reduced the pre-open session from 45 to 20 minutes starting at 08:40 AM. In response to the recent increase in trading volumes and a request from several members to extend the pre-open session by 15 minutes, the JSE Committee, in consultation with the Panel of Senior Dealers has agreed to extend the pre-open session by 15 minutes.
