    The members of the New York Mercantile Exchange voted 97.5% in favor of a demutualization plan which will make the Exchange the first in New York to convert from a not-for-profit membership structure to a for-profit organization.

  • Eurex And Deutsche Börse AG To Offer Trading Access Through Bloomberg Professional TM Service

    As of July 2000, Eurex and Deutsche Börse will offer its customers an alternative trading access through the Bloomberg Professional TM service. The alternative access to Eurex will be ready in July, the electronic trading system of Deutsche Börse AG will follow by the end of 2000. Bloomberg is the first service provider to offer a fully integrated front-end and network solution to Eurex by operating as, a so called Multimember front-end provider.

  • Central Bank Of Iceland Weekly Repo Auction 20/6 2000

    The Central Bank of Iceland held a weekly auction of repurchase agreements on June 20 of the standard maturity of 14 days. The auction was a fixed rate one at 10.6 per cent p.a. Offers were made for a total amount of 13.4 billion krónur resulting in repurchase contracts for that amount.

    Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) has applied for listing on the Exchange. HKEx is the holding company of the Exchange and a recognised exchange controller within the meaning of the Exchanges and Clearing Houses (Merger) Ordinance (Cap.555) (the Merger Ordinance). The Exchange is a company of which HKEx is the controller within the meaning of the Merger Ordinance.

    Winnipeg commodity exchange will be officially relocating its Corporate offices to the fourth floor of the commodity Exchange tower effective July 1, 2000. A new public viewing Gallery will be available with access on the fourth floor from June 13, 2000.

  • Ljubljana Stock Exchange Monthly Report - May

    The total turnover of securities on the Exchange amounted to SIT 15.17 billion in May. It was the new lowest monthly turnover this year, below the April figure of SIT 16.78 billion. The total turnover in May 1999 was SIT 14.1 billion.The total value of SIT 102.5 billion of securities traded in the first five trading months of 2000 was just slightly above the 1999 figures or the same period (101,9 billion SIT).

  • KCBT Wheat Options Open Interest Achieves New Record

    Open interest in Kansas City Board of Trade wheat options on Friday exceeded all previous records, reaching 26,843 contracts. The previous record of 26,590 contracts was set just two months ago on April 14, 2000.
