NYSE Proposes To Start Decimal-Pricing Pilot On Aug. 28

The New York Stock Exchange, together with a securities-industry committee on decimal pricing, has proposed to the Securities and Exchange Commission an Aug. 28 start date for the decimal-pricing pilot for NYSE-listed stocks.
NYBOT And NYMEX Litigation Dismissed Regarding Clearing Member

The New York Board of Trade (NYBOT) and the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) today announced a settlement of the litigation between the respective exchanges relating to the suspension of a clearing member, Klein & Co. Futures, Inc., from NYBOT and its clearinghouse, the New York Clearing Corporation (NYCC).

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) has appointed Ms Karen Lee as Head of Listing, Regulation & Risk Management. She succeeds Mr Lawrence Fok, whose appointment as Deputy Chief Operating Officer of HKEx and Chief Executive of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong with effect from 1 August was announced in June.

Hudson City Bancorp, Inc. (Nasdaq:HCBK) of Paramus, New Jersey, will become a component of the Nasdaq Financial-100 Index®, effective at the beginning of trading Monday, July 31, 2000. Hudson City Bancorp will replace Banco de Galicia y Buenos Aires S.A., which is being acquired by Grupo Financiero Galicia S.A.

Central Bank Of Iceland Weekly Repo Auction 25/7 2000

The Central Bank of Iceland held a weekly auction of repurchase agreements on July 25, of the standard maturity of 14 days. The auction was a fixed rate one at 10.6 per cent p.a. Offers were made for a total amount of 20 billion krónur resulting in repurchase contracts for that amount.
