KLSE Focused Efforts To Meet Investor Requirements

EEX To Launch Electricity Indices - First Index Family Of A German Energy Exchange

The first electricity indices in Germany based on exchange-traded prices will be launched on December 11. The European Energy Exchange (EEX) made the announcement on Monday. The indices measure the development in the electricity price at EEX and will be calculated for base-load and peak-load blocks on a daily and monthly basis.

Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. Receives Regulatory Approval To Increase Customer Access Via Electronic Trading

Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. (CME) has been notified that the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) approved a number of measures to increase customer access to CME markets via electronic trading. CME’s Board approved these measures on Aug. 30.

BIHL has once again reported an excellent set of interim results for the 6 months to 30th September 2000 reflecting continued strong growth. Total premium income was up 50% from P92.4m in H1 99 to P138.6m in H1 00, with net recurring premium income up 29% from P84.8m to P109.4m. There was exceptional growth of 287% in single premium income from P7.5m to P29.2m. Amsterdam Exchanges: New rules for IPOs

In recent years, the former Amsterdam Exchanges N.V. developed a policy on the way that certain standards laid down in the Listing and Issuing Rules (in particular listing criteria and prospectus requirements) were to be applied in practice in the case of IPOs. CFTC Approves Rules Implementing New Regulatory Framework

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has approved final rules that will implement a new regulatory framework for futures markets. Under the new regulatory framework, the current "one-size-fits-all" regulations will be replaced with broad, flexible "Core Principles."
