    The index of the Kuwait Stock Exchange reached 2,060.2 points at the end of October, an increase of 73.6 points from the closing value at the end of September. The weighted index reached 154.12 points at the end of October, an increase of 3.85 points from the closing value at the end of September.

    The Kansas City Board of Trade exchange volume traded during the month of November was the largest ever for any given November. Market conditions continued volatile, resulting in increased usage of KCBT wheat futures and options contracts, and leading the exchange to trade more than 3 million contracts in 2002.   • Futures & Options On Russian Trading System Weekly Data: November 25th - November 29th

    For the week of November 25th-November 29th, 2002, the total trading volume on FORTS (Futures & Options on RTS), gained 14.8% and reached 732.6 thousand contracts. In terms of underlying value total trading volume increased 14.6% to 3 091 million rubles. The number of trades rose 12% and reached 15 565 .

  • Eurex Turns Over 63 Million Contracts In November

    Eurex, the international derivatives market, traded and cleared over 63 million contracts in November. A record in monthly volume had been set in the same month of last year with 74 million contracts traded, 14 percent above the number traded in November 2002. After 11 months of trading, the Eurex derivatives market has turned over a total of more than 747 million contracts this year, over 18 percent ahead of the volume traded during the same period of last year.

  • Deutsche Börse: 257 Billion Euros In Turnover On The German Stock Exchanges In November

    Based on the aggregate turnover statistics, a total volume of 257.2 billion euros was traded on the German stock exchanges in November, more or less even with the previous month's level (October 2002: 266.4 billion euros). The November total comprises 176 billion euros in equities, warrants and exchange-traded funds as well as 81 billion euros in fixed-income securities.

    The new active and base portfolios have now been selected. The future KFX portfolio becomes effective on 23 December 2002. For the first time since the introduction of the KFX Index in 1989 the present portfolio is identical with the future portfolio.

The General Assembly of the Federation has today approved the application by the National Stock Exchange of Lithuania for Associate Membership after the Exchange had became a Corresponding Member two years ago.
