  • Deutsche Börse: 246 Billion Euros In Turnover On The German Stock Exchanges In May

    The aggregate turnover statistics for May 2003 show that a total volume of some 246 billion euros was traded on the German stock exchanges - about five percent less than the previous month (April 2003: 259 billion euros). The total comprises some 182 billion euros in equities, warrants and exchange-traded funds as well as 64 billion euros in fixed-income securities.

    The coming active and base portfolios have now been selected. The future KFX portfolio becomes effective on 23 June 2003. As it looks today, it will be identical to the present portfolio.

    The CBOT® 30-Day Federal Funds futures contract for May 2003 was cash settled this morning at a final settlement price of 98.741, for an average daily effective federal funds rate of 1.259 percent during the delivery month.   • CBOE Receives SEC Approval To Launch CBOEdirect HyTS The Hybrid Trading System - Announces June 12 Start Date

    The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) on May 30, 2003 received approval from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for the Hybrid Trading System, CBOEdirect HyTS TM. Implementation will begin on the CBOE trading floor on June 12, 2003 in Harmony Gold (HMY) options. CBOE expects to have the most actively traded option classes, which account for 80% of U.S. options volume, available on its Hybrid Trading System by year-end.

  • CBOE Exchange-Wide Volume Up 8% In May - Index Volume Increases 24% - Equities Volume Unchanged

    The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) announced today that exchange-wide volume increased 8% in May, while total index options volume rose 24% and total equity options volume was unchanged, when compared to May 2002.
