    For the week of October 6th – October 10th, 2003, total trading volume on FORTS (Futures & Options on the RTS) reached 869 thousand contracts and 6 448 million rubles, compared with 634 thousand contracts and 4 986 million rubles the week before. Total open interest as of October 10th, 2003, equaled 5 175 million rubles and 827 thousand contracts (as of October 3rd, 2003, the numbers were 4 397 million rubles and 706 thousand contracts).

  • FTSE/Xinhua Quarterly Review

    FTSE/Xinhua Index Limited (FXI), the China index provider, held its quarterly Committee meeting today in Beijing to review and approve constituent changes to the FTSE/Xinhua China Index Series. The Committee reviewed six indices, including the FTSE/Xinhua China 25 Index, the FTSE/Xinhua China A 200, A 400, A Small Cap and the FTSE/Xinhua China B 35. The changes agreed today will take effect after the close of business on the Friday 17 October 2003.

  • Standard & Poor's Announces Changes In The S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index

    Pursuant to quarterly rebalancing methodology, Standard & Poor's will make the following changes in the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index effective after the close of trading on Friday, October 17, 2003. As of the close of trading on Thursday, October 9, 2003, the index was comprised of 504 companies. A total of 76 companies will be removed from the index and 81 new companies will be added. The revised index will therefore be made up of 509 companies.

  • Standard & Poor's Announces Changes In S&P/TSX Canadian Indices

    Standard & Poor's Canadian Index Operations announces the following index change effective after the close of business on Tuesday, October 14, 2003: The relative weight of Fort Chicago Energy Partners L.P. (TSX:FCE.UN - GICS 55102010 Gas Utilities) will increase by approximately 0.22% in the S&P/TSX Capped Income Trust Index. The relative weight change reflects an adjustment to the float units of the limited partnership due to the issuance of units.
