Singapore Exchange Limited To Extend Borrowing Period And Waive Rollover Fees For Securities Lending From 8 April 2002

Singapore Exchange Limited (SGX) today announced that it will extend the securities borrowing period on the SGX Securities Lending programme by allowing successive rollovers from 8 April 2002. The Central Depository (CDP), the securities clearing and depository division of SGX, will also waive the fee of S$20 per rollover request for the time being.

Nasdaq Hires Theodore J. Coburn As Head of Sales

Coburn has joined Nasdaq® as senior vice president and head of sales in the corporate client group - one of Nasdaq's three core businesses and the area responsible for servicing Nasdaq's listed companies. Coburn will lead strategic initiatives to attract companies to list on The Nasdaq Stock Market®. Coburn reports to David Weild, vice chairman.

KCBT Wheat Options Volume Sets New Record For Month Of March

Trading volume at the Kansas City Board of Trade continued to set records in the wheat options contract. Previously, the most volume traded during any given March was 22,658 contracts, which was in 2001. In March 2002 trading volume was 25,288 contracts, an increase of 11.6 percent.

The CBOT® 30-Day Federal Funds futures contract for March 2002 was cash settled this morning at a final settlement price of 98.270, for an average overnight effective rate of 1.730 percent during the delivery month.
