Minneapolis Grain Exchange Set To Launch New Wheat Index Contracts

The Minneapolis Grain Exchange (MGEX) announced today that the MGEX board of directors has approved rules and regulations for Soft Red Wheat Index (SRI) and Hard Spring Wheat Index (SWI) futures and options. Pending ownership approval, the contracts are scheduled to launch December 19, 2003 on the exchange's electronic trading platform, MGEXpress®.

Today marked the commencement of SWX Swiss Exchange trading in 2 new XMTCH ETFs on Swiss Confederation bonds. XMTCHes are registered investment funds established in accordance with Swiss law. The initiator and asset manager of these XMTCHes is Credit Suisse Asset Management. XMTCHes are listed and traded in SWX's Exchange Traded Funds segment, which currently comprises 18 ETF issues.

CME eFX Sets New Volume Record - Largest Regulated eFX Market Tops 100,000 Contracts For First Time In Single Day

Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. (CME) today announced that trading of electronic foreign exchange (eFX) products on CME's GLOBEX® electronic trading platform totaled nearly 113,000 contracts on Tuesday. It was the first time eFX volume exceeded 100,000 contracts in a single day.

Chicago Mercantile Exchange Holdings Inc. Completes Secondary Offering

Chicago Mercantile Exchange Holdings Inc. (NYSE: CME) today announced the successful completion of the offering of 2,366,069 shares of Class A common stock by certain of its shareholders, including the over-allotment option. The company did not sell any shares or receive any proceeds from the sale of stock by its shareholders in the offering. The offering was priced on Nov. 13 at $67.00 per share and closed on Wednesday, Nov. 19.

CBOT Ag Electronic Trading Suspended From Nov 21, 2003 - Jan 1, 2004

The Chicago Board of Trade will suspend overnight electronic trading of agricultural contracts during the transition to its new electronic trading platform from 6:00 a.m. on November 21, 2003 until 7:30 p.m. on January 1, 2004. Beginning January 1, CBOT agricultural futures contracts will gain an additional hour of trading on the exchange’s new electronic trading platform.
