FTSE Group To launch Global Small Cap Series

FTSE Group, the global index provider, today announces that it will create a new Global Small Cap index series to complement its existing large and mid cap indices, the FTSE All-World Index series. Together, the FTSE Global Small Cap series and the FTSE All-World will cover 98% of the world's investible market capitalisation. The new indices will be available and integrated with the FTSE All-World series from 22 September 2003.

Deutsche Börse: Porsche Is Resisting European Standards

On Tuesday, Deutsche Börse responded with a lack of understanding for Porsche's announcement that it plans to sue the Frankfurt Stock Exchange for requiring it to file quarterly reports. City Corporation Gives Go Ahead To Redevelopment Of London Stock Exchange Site - 500,000sq Ft Grimshaw Scheme Will Transform City's Core

The London Stock Exchange is pleased to announce that the Corporation of London today resolved to grant planning permission for the redevelopment of the Exchange's site at Old Broad Street - one of the largest urban regeneration projects in the City of London. The Exchange intends to sell the site with planning consent to a developer as part of its planned relocation project.

CFTC Staff Allows Euronext Amsterdam N.V.'s Futures Contracts Based On The Amsterdam Exchanges Index To Be Offered And Sold In The United States

The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission's (CFTC's) Office of General Counsel issued a no-action letter on April 7, 2003, permitting the offer and sale in the United States of Euronext Amsterdam N.V.'s (Euronext Amsterdam's) futures contracts based on the Amsterdam Exchanges Index (AEX Index): the AEX Index Futures Contract and the Light AEX Index Futures Contract. The Light AEX Index Futures Contract is a smaller version of the AEX Index Futures Contract.

CBOE Closed Friday, April 18, 2003 Expiration Schedule Modified

The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) will be closed on Friday, April 18, 2003. Therefore, the last day of trading for CBOE listed stock options and S&P 100 Index (OEX) options with April expiration, will be Thursday, April 17, and the last day of trading for European-style index options with April expiration will be Wednesday, April 16, 2003. All CBOE index products are European-style, except for OEX.
