New Index Methodology At The Ljubljana Stock Exchange

On its meeting of 14 March 2003, the Management Board of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange decided on the revision of the current calculation methodology related to its indices. Overall, total futures volume for March 2003 was 35.0% lower than the 193,903 contracts recorded for the same month one year ago. Flaxseed and feed wheat futures during the month of March were the main contributing factors to the decline seen in overall volume levels. Total futures open interest levels as of March 31, 2003 were 68,933 contracts; 6.4% below the 73,613 contracts open on March 31, 2002.
