Standard & Poor's Canadian Index Operations announces the following index change effective after the close of business on Wednesday, September 3, 2003: The relative weight of NAL Oil & Gas Trust (TSX:NAE.UN - GICS 10102020 Oil & Gas Exploration & Production) will increase by approximately 0.32% in the S&P/TSX Capped Income Trust Index and by approximately 0.67% in the S&P/TSX Capped Energy Trust Index. Singapore Exchange August Derivatives Volume Grow 6.6% - SiMSCI, Nikkei And Taiwan Futures Record Strong Growth

Singapore Exchange (SGX) today announced that its total derivatives trading volume grew 6.6% for the month of August 2003 with 3,240,762 contracts traded, compared to 3,039,500 contracts in the same month last year. Total volume from January to August 2003 grew 7.7% with 23,984,015 contracts, compared to 22,269,606 contracts in the same period last year.

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) announces that there will be no afternoon trading session for the securities and derivatives markets today due to the issue of Typhoon Signal no. 8. The trading of the two iShares of the securities market, the HIBOR Futures and Three-year EFN Futures of the derivatives market will be terminated at 2:35 pm (15 minutes after the signal was issued).

FTSEurofirst Trades Record Volumes

Euronext.liffe's FTSEurofirst index futures set a new daily record of 8,260 contracts on Monday 1 September. The FTSEurofirst 80 traded 3,244 contracts and the FTSEurofirst 100, traded 5,016 contracts. The contracts were launched on Monday 23 June 2003.
