The Philadelphia Stock Exchange (PHLX) named Michael Barth vice president of equity surveillance. In his new position, Barth will oversee the PHLX team of surveillance analysts that detect, review, document and create surveillance reports on the equity floor of the Exchange.

Hibbett Sporting Goods Inc. (NASD:HIBB) will replace Butler Manufacturing Co. (NYSE:BBR) in the S&P SmallCap 600 Index after the close of trading on Tuesday, April 27, 2004. Butler Manufacturing is being acquired by S&P Global 1200 constituent BlueScope Steel Ltd. in a transaction anticipated to close on or about that date. The deal is still pending shareholder approval.
