In February 2004, the New York Board of Trade® (NYBOT®) announced a set of Rule amendments that had the effect of replacing the FCOJ-1 futures and options contracts with new FCOJ-A contracts, and of creating new FCOJ-B and FCOJ-Diff futures contracts. Turnover The total turnover on all market segments of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (without block trades) in January 2005 amounted to SIT 16.7 billion, which was at the level of last year’s average. Compared to January 2004, total turnover decreased by SIT 106 million (-0.6%).

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) published a feedback statement today (Monday) on its consultations in July and November 2002 on continuing listing criteria and related issues. The statement includes a summary of the responses and a commentary on developments over the last year. The Listing Division's commentary on developments also serves as a measure to improve the Exchange's transparency in the discharge of its responsibilities for listing regulation.

Accounting: European Commission Endorses International Standard On Accounting For Share-Based Payments (IFRS 2)

The European Commission has adopted a Regulation endorsing International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS) No. 2 on Share-based Payment. IFRS 2 means companies will need to reflect share-based payments, including stock options for staff, more clearly in their accounts.
