NZX Seeking Applications For NZX Discipline And The Appeal Panel

NZX is seeking expressions of interest from people wishing to be considered for appointment as members of NZX Discipline and the Appeal Panel. Both bodies are established under the NZX Discipline Rules which NZX expects will come into force on 3 May 2004, subject to Ministerial approval.

NYSE Announces Disciplinary Actions Against Three Member Firms And 16 Individuals

The New York Stock Exchange has taken disciplinary actions against three member firms and 16 individuals for violations of NYSE rules and federal securities laws. The cases, prosecuted by the NYSE Division of Enforcement, may be subject to review by the Securities and Exchange Commission and, thereafter, federal courts.

NASD Fines Robertson Stephens And Former VP USD350,000 For Attempting To Coerce Investment Banking Fees - Also Charges Former Managing Director - Cites Threat To Drop Research Coverage If $1 Million Fee Demand Not Met

NASD announced today thatas part of its continuing regulatory focus on investment banking and research analyst activitiesit has censured and fined Robertson Stephens, Inc. and its former senior investment banker, Richard (“Kevin”) Davies, a total of $350,000 for threatening to discontinue research coverage of a public company unless that company paid Robertson Stephens $1 million in investment banking fees.
