  • Copenhagen Stock Exchange: Healthy Share Turnover In May

    Share market turnover came to DKK 35.1 billion in May, or an average of DKK 1.9 billion a day. Average daily trading fell by 24 per cent on April last, but rose by 11 per cent on May 2003. The average number of daily trades went up by 23 per cent on the year-earlier period. Turnover for the first five months of the year is up 75 per cent compared with last year.

  • CBOT May Volume Sets 3rd Consecutive Monthly Record

    The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT®) today announced that total exchange volume continued its impressive, consistent growth in May, hitting a third consecutive monthly record. Total trading volume in May was 55,145,368 contracts, up 25.9 percent from May 2003 and up 44.7 percent year-to-date (YTD). The exchange saw average daily volume in May rise 32.2 percent to 2,757,268 contracts from May 2003 levels.
