KCBT Announces Officers, Directors For 2008 - Jeffrey W. Voge 2008 KCBT Chairman

The Kansas City Board of Trade announces 2008 officers and directors, who took office at a regular board meeting held today. Members of the Kansas City Board of Trade elected Jeffrey W. Voge, an individual member, as chairman in an election held earlier this month. Voge served as first vice chairman of the KCBT in 2007 and as second vice chairman in 2006. The first vice chairman traditionally has assumed the chairmanship of the KCBT in the following year.

Israel Securities Authority (ISA) And Autorité Des Marchés Financiers (AMF) Sign Agreement On Equivalence Of Prospectuses And Admission To Trading On French And Israeli Regulated Markets

Moshe Tery, Chairman of the Israel Securities Authority (ISA), and AMF Chairman Michel Prada signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 28 January 2008 covering the equivalence of prospectuses in France and Israel, with a view to admission to trading on a regulated market in either country.

FINRA Fines Banc One For Unsuitable Variable Annuity Sales, Inadequate Supervision Of Fixed-to-Variable Annuity Exchanges - Firm To Pay $225,000 Fine, Make Restitution And Other Allowances To Customers

The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) announced today that as part of its ongoing efforts to curb abuses in the sale of variable annuities, it has fined Banc One Securities Corporation (BOSC) of Chicago $225,000 for making unsuitable sales of deferred variable annuities to 23 customers and for having inadequate systems and procedures governing annuity exchanges. Twenty-one of the 23 customers were over 70 years old.

The Price Limits in Gold and Oil (Gasoline, Kerosene and Crude Oil) are determined based on the largest market price movement within a certain period of time and, in principle, are set at a level where the probability that they will be reached is very low.
