SIFMA has confirmed its previous holiday recommendation for a full market close on Monday, September 4, 2023, for the trading of U.S. dollar-denominated fixed income securities in the U.S., the U.K., and Japan in observance of the U.S. Labor Day holiday.

FINRA Names Bill St. Louis As New Head Of Enforcement

FINRA announced today that it has appointed Bill St. Louis as Head of Enforcement, effective immediately. St. Louis, an Executive Vice President, was most recently head of FINRA’s National Cause and Financial Crimes Detection Program (NCFC). St. Louis will be responsible for the management of approximately 350 enforcement staff in 11 offices across the United States and will report directly to FINRA CEO Robert Cook.

SEC Charges FinTech Investment Adviser Titan For Misrepresenting Hypothetical Performance Of Investments And Other Violations - These Charges Mark The First Violation Of The SEC’s Amended Marketing Rule

The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced charges against Titan Global Capital Management USA LLC, a New York-based FinTech investment adviser, for using hypothetical performance metrics in advertisements that were misleading. The SEC also charged Titan with multiple compliance failures that led to misleading disclosures about custody of clients’ crypto assets, the use of improper “hedge clauses” in client agreements, the unauthorized use of client signatures and the failure to adopt policies concerning crypto asset trading by employees.

(the “Company” or “Coinbase”) today announced the early tender results of its previously announced offer to purchase for cash (the “Tender Offer”) up to $150.0 million in aggregate purchase price (the “Maximum Tender Amount”), excluding accrued and unpaid interest, of its 3.625% Senior Notes due 2031 (the “Notes”).

Disappointment From SEC ETF Decisions Has Impacted Sentiment - CoinShares: Fund Flows

• Digital asset investment products saw outflows totalling US$55m, we believe this is in reaction to recent media highlighting that a decision by the US Securities & Exchange Commission in allowing a US spot-based ETF is not imminent.
• Bitcoin saw outflows totalling US$42m, reversing the inflows seen the prior week, while short-bitcoin saw outflows for almost the 17th consecutive week.
• Ethereum saw US$9m outflows, while Polygon, Litecoin and Polkadot also saw outflows of US$0.9m, US$0.6m and US$0.5m respectively.

The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) has joined forces with mai Listed Company Association (maiA) to continue launching the SET Social Impact GYM 2023 project for the 7th consecutive year. This year, three new partners, namely Thai Health Promotion Foundation (THPF), Thai Credit Guarantee Corporation (TCG) and PwC Thailand, have jointly supported and developed business operating skills for social entrepreneurs (SEs). Nine social enterprises (SEs) have participated in this project to learn the Social Impact and Entrepreneurship skills, attend intensive hybrid training and practical workshops, prior to learning directly from the coaches who are executives of listed companies during August - October 2023.
