NYSE Amex Options Completes Sale Of Equity Stake To Seven Leading Firms - Creates A Leader In U.S. Options & New Model In Customer Service And Participation - Delivers Tighter Spreads, Deeper Liquidity & Superior Technology

NYSE Amex Options today announced it has completed its agreement to sell a 52.8% equity interest in the exchange to seven leading order flow providers and market making firms: Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Barclays Capital, Citadel Securities, Citi, Goldman Sachs, TD Ameritrade and UBS AG. NYSE Euronext will remain the largest single shareholder in the entity which will be supervised by a separate board of directors and a dedicated chief executive officer, Steve Crutchfield.

Based on the close of trading on June 28, the global Dow Jones Islamic Market Titans 100 Index, which measures the performance of 100 of the leading Shari’ah compliant stocks globally, dropped 4.05% month-to-date, closing at 2291.87. In comparison, the Dow Jones Global Titans 50 Index, which measures the 50 biggest companies worldwide, posted a loss of 4.23%, closing at 179.54.
