Two Firms On Thai Bourse Added To MSCI Index

“Two companies listed on The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) have been added to MSCI Index-- Indorama Ventures PCL (IVL) and Thai Airways International PCL (THAI). The changes will be effective on November 30, 2010,” revealed SET President Charamporn Jotikasthira.

The London Stock Exchange today welcomes Russia's largest rail freight operator, Transcontainer to its Main Market. Transcontainer, which raised $400 million at admission, is the third Russian company to join the Main Market this month, taking the total money raised by new Russian companies in November to over $1.7 billion.

On 17 November 2010, the shares of Weatherford International Ltd. traded for the first time on SIX Swiss Exchange. Acceptance into the SPI will commence on 17 November 2010 after the close of trading and be progressively phased in over a period of five trading days. During that time frame, the company’s free float will be increased by 20% each trading day. For the time being, the stock will not be added to any sub-indices of the SPI Family (e.g. SPI Extra, SPIexSLI).
