  • International Islamic Financial Market Holds Industry Consultation On Sukuk Standardization

    Bahrain based international standard-setting body, the International Islamic Financial Market (IIFM) organized an industry consultative meeting on "Sukuk Standardization (Structures, Documentation & Guidelines)". The meeting was hosted by Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) at its Conference Centre and was attended by a diverse group of experts which included a number of regulators, renowned Shari'ah scholars, senior representatives from Islamic financial institutions, local & international law firms, accounting firms, consultants, rating agencies, multilateral developments institutions (International Monetary Fund, Islamic Development Bank Group etc) and other representatives from the industry.

    • The SFI gained 0.07% to 116.63. 
    • YTD, the STI currently outperforms the SFI by 1.36%.
    • The SFI reached 116.69 on Monday, the highest level since 30 October 2013 (116.79).
    • 12 corporate issues were added to the SFI Corporate Bond Index in April 2014.
    • YTD, the SFI Industrial Bond Index is up 3.86%, one of the strongest performers within the SFI suite.

  • "AlKhair Capital" The first Saudi Investment Institution To Receive A License To Operate From Dubai International Financial Centre

    AlKhair Capital Saudi announced that it has opened an office at the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), following approval from the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) for a Category 4 license that allows AlKhair Capital Saudi to operate as an authorized entity from the DFSA. Making it the first Saudi Investment Institution registered and licensed by the Capital Market Authority in Saudi Arabia to get a license to operate in the DIFC.
