Moscow Exchange To Launch Index Of State-Owned Companies

Economy Ministry of Russia, the Federal Agency for State Property Management (Rosimuschestvo) and Moscow Exchange have signed a cooperation agreement to create two new equity market benchmarks, indices of publicly-traded companies where the Russian state has an ownership stake. The document was signed by Deputy Minister of Economic Development Nikolay Podguzov, Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Rosimuschestvo Head Olga Dergunova and Moscow Exchange Deputy CEO Andrey Shemetov.

Good morning. Thank you for coming today, and welcome to the SEC, both those here in person and through our webcast. Before I say anything else, I would like to acknowledge staff from the Division of Investment Management for their hard work in putting this anniversary program together. CFTC Charges Florida Resident Todd Owen Marshall and His Companies Harvard Assets LLC, London Assets Inc., and Harvard International Trading, Inc. with Engaging in Illegal, Off-Exchange Precious Metals Transactions and Registration Violations

The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) today announced the filing of a civil injunctive enforcement action in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Defendants Harvard Assets LLC (Harvard Assets), London Assets Inc. (London Assets), and Harvard International Trading, Inc. (Harvard International) (collectively, the Entity Defendants), all three operating in Florida, and their controlling person, Defendant Todd Owen Marshall with a last known address in Deerfield Beach, Florida (collectively, Defendants).

IMF Global Financial Stability Report (GFSR): Vulnerabilities, Legacies, And Policy Challenges, Risks Rotating To Emerging Markets, October 2015

Chapters 2 and 3 of the October 2015 Global Financial Stability Report respectively examine the determinants and resilience of market liquidity and the growing level of corporate debt in emerging markets. In terms of market liquidity, the current levels are being sustained by benign cyclical conditions and accommodative monetary policy. At the same time, some structural developments may be eroding its resilience. As for the growing level of corporate debt in emerging markets, which quadrupled between 2004 and 2014, global drivers have played an increasing role in leverage growth, bond issuance, and corporate spreads. The greater role of global factors during a period when they have been exceptionally favorable suggests that emerging markets must prepare for the implications of global financial tightening.
