FINRA Orders Robinhood Financial To Pay $3.75 Million In Restitution To Customers - Fines Robinhood Financial And Robinhood Securities For Anti-Money Laundering, Supervisory And Disclosure Violations

FINRA has ordered Robinhood Financial to pay $3.75 million to its customers, and fined Robinhood Financial and Robinhood Securities $26 million for violating numerous FINRA rules, including failing to respond to red flags of potential misconduct.

A total turnover of 1.818 billion shares worth N47.226 billion in 64,222 deals was traded this week by investors on the floor of the Exchange, in contrast to a total of 1.848 billion shares valued at N51.387 billion that exchanged hands last week in 63,090 deals.

US Justice Department: Garantex Cryptocurrency Exchange Disrupted In International Operation - Two Administrators Charged With Operating Multibillion-Dollar Crypto Money Laundering Service

The Justice Department announced today a coordinated action with Germany and Finland to disrupt and take down the online infrastructure used to operate Garantex, a cryptocurrency exchange that allegedly facilitated money laundering by transnational criminal organizations — including terrorist organizations — and sanctions violations. Since April 2019, Garantex has processed at least $96 billion in cryptocurrency transactions.

Thank you, Tiago, and thank you for the opportunity to speak to you today. I am delighted to be at the Bank of Portugal, among friends, including Governor Centeno, and to be speaking at a conference focusing on matters I deeply care about—monetary policy and labor markets. Before I became a monetary policymaker, a large share of my work as an academic researcher addressed the effect on labor markets from policy choices such as payroll taxation, employment protections, occupational licensing, and unemployment insurance (UI). I was able to apply some of these insights in my work as the chief economist at the Department of Labor, analyzing the labor market and supporting research on policies and their effectiveness.

Nodal Exchange Achieves February Trading Records As Natural Gas Market Grows 143%, Environmental Market Grows 105%, And Power Achieves Second Best Month Ever

Nodal continues to be the market leader in North American power futures achieving a record 57.3% of the open interest with 1.5 billion MWh at the end of February. The open interest represents over $148.5 billion of notional value (both sides). The traded volume in February was 356 million MWh, which is the second highest trading volume month of all time.
