Deutsche Börse Commodities: Xetra-Gold Holdings Rise To 181.47 Tonnes At Year-End - Year-On-Year Increase Of Seven Tonnes / Europe's Largest Gold Security With Physical Backing

The gold holdings of the exchange-traded bearer bond Xetra-Gold (ISIN: DE000A0S9GB0) increased to 181.47 tonnes at the end of the year 2018. This is a plus of more than seven tonnes over the course of the year. At the beginning of 2018, 174.24 tonnes of gold were stored in the central vault for German securities in Frankfurt.

EEX Trading Results For December 2018 - EEX Quadruples Trading Volumes On EUA Secondary Market

In December 2018, the European Energy Exchange (EEX) increased volumes on its power derivatives markets by 17% to 273.7 TWh (December 2017: 234.5 TWh). In power futures for Germany (Phelix-DE), at 159.1 TWh, trading volumes more than doubled compared to the previous year (December 2017: 72.9 TWh). Trading volumes in Austrian power futures (Phelix-AT) which have increased continuously and significantly since July 2018, reached a new record of 5.8 TWh. As a result, also the Phelix-AT contract has successfully established itself in the market and is increasingly used for hedging purposes. On the Dutch power market, trading volumes increased by 24% to 2.3 TWh (December 2017: 1.8 TWh).

- Increase of the total volume of trading in derivatives by 34.9% YoY to 840.5 thousand contracts in December 2018
- Increase of the total value of trading in equities on NewConnect by 7.0% YoY to PLN 85.4 million in December 2018
- Increase of the value of trading in structured products by 51.9% YoY to PLN 95.0 million in December 2018
- Increase of the total volume of trading in electricity by 15.9% to 15.4 TWh in December 2018
- Increase of the total volume of trading in natural gas by 52.1% YoY to 11.5 TWh in December 2018
- Decrease of the volume of spot trading in property rights to certificates of origin by 28.9% to 3.7 TWh in December 2018

Non-Jordanian Ownership In Companies Listed At The Amman Stock Exchange Reached 51.7%

The total value of shares that were bought by non-Jordanian investors in December 2018 was JD495.7 million, representing 83.7% of the overall trading value, while the value of shares sold by them amounted to JD34.8 million. As a result, the net of non-Jordanian investments in December 2018 showed an increase by JD460.9 million, compared with a decrease by JD2.9 million during the same month of 2017.
