Stock Exchange of Thailand Announces SETTRADE.COM Inauguration - Internet Trading Services To Begin November 3, 2000

The Stock Exchange of Thailand announces the inauguration of SETTRADE.COM Co., Ltd., to develop a trading information technology system and central website. This new company will provide securities companies and investors with internet securities trading services to enhance trading efficiency and reduce securities companies’ overall operational costs. SETTRADE.COM will commence services on November 3, 2000.

Euronext Introduces Futures On Blue Chips

As of 28 November 2000, Euronext Amsterdam’s derivatives markets will list futures on individual equities, subject to approval by the Securities Board of the Netherlands (Stichting Toezicht Effectenverkeer). Futures will be available on shares in ABN Amro, Aegon, ING, Ahold, Philips, KPN, Royal Dutch and Unilever. Each contract has an underlying value of 100 shares.

Nasdaq Japan, Inc., announced that subscription to its private placement was completed today. Upon closing of the private placement, 13 leading Japanese and foreign securities firms will own approximately 15 percent of the common stock of Nasdaq Japan, Inc., effective October 26, 2000.
