The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong (the Exchange) has published a consultation paper on the Listing Rules in relation to derivative warrants. CME To Add May Contract For Lean Hogs

Beginning Monday, June 4, Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. will add a May contract month to the listing cycle for lean hogs futures and options contracts. Listed futures contracts on that date will be June, July, August, October and December 2001 and February, April, May and June 2002.

CBOT Fed Funds, Mortgage Futures Again Set Open Interest Highs

The Chicago Board of Trade 30-Day Fed Funds futures contract set another in a string of open interest records-the eighth new high in May--as the contract becomes increasingly popular in the investment community. The new open interest record now stands at 117,133 contracts as of May 30, up from the previous record of 115,364, set May 29.

Outgoing Toronto Stock Exchange chairman Dan Sullivan today announced that, “the TSE will be a publicly traded company in due course, and may be the first publicly traded stock exchange in North America within 6 to 12 months.” By taking this step, the TSE will join international exchanges in Sweden, Germany, Australia and London – all of which have gone public with great success.
