    The New York Stock Exchange is participating in multilateral discussions to explore the feasibility of a Global Equity Market (GEM) with the Australian Stock Exchange, Euronext (Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris), the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing, the Bolsa Mexicana de Valores, the Bolsa de Valores de Sao Paulo, the Tokyo Stock Exchange, and the Toronto Stock Exchange.

    FTSE announced today that Jane Staunton, formerly a Principal with MSCI Europe, will join FTSE as Chief Operating Officer of its North American subsidiary, FTSE Americas Inc, effective June 12.     The Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) announced that it will launch cash options on the CME Lean Hog Index on June 28. Beginning with the September 2000 contract, the options will be listed with expirations in months for which no futures contracts are listed on the CME.
