Iceland Stock Exchange New Partner In The NOREX Alliance

Iceland Stock Exchange today signed the formal agreement to join the NOREX Alliance. The signing ceremony took place in Keflavik, Iceland with the Board of Directors of NOREX in attendance. Under the agreement Iceland Stock Exchange will move its trading in shares and debt instruments to SAXESS, the joint trading system of the NOREX Alliance, with a planned launch date in autumn 2000.

HKFE Receives CFTC Approval To Place HKATS Terminals And Automated Order Routing Systems Connected To HKATS In The US

The Hong Kong Futures Exchange (HKFE) has received approval from the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) to place HKATS (Hong Kong Futures Automated Trading System) terminals and automated order-routing systems connected to HKATS in the U.S., effective immediately.

Deutsche Börse Updates Weightings In Equity Indexes - Companies Replaced In The Indexes

Effective June 19, Deutsche Börse is updating the weightings for the companies in the equity indexes. Deutsche Börse published the tentative figures for the weightings on Wednesday. The final data will be published on Friday after the close of trading on the Internet page of Deutsche Börse at www.exchange.de under News. Due to the longer trading hours, the prices from the Xetra closing auction at 8:00 p.m. (Frankfurt time) on Friday, June 16, will be used for the index adjustments.

The Nasdaq Stock Market® (Nasdaq) announced today that the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia issued an order on June 12 directing that ownership of the domain names "NASDAQEUROPE.COM" and "NASDAQEUROPE.NET" be transferred to Nasdaq. CFTC Approves CME Rule Changes Related To For-Profit Plan

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) today approved the rule changes proposed by the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) associated with the exchange's plan to become a for-profit corporation. The revisions principally concern governance of the institution when it transforms from a membership-owned, not-for-profit entity and the separation of ownership of shares from trading privileges.

Amsterdam Exchanges Calculates The First European Public Real Estate Index

The European Public Real Estate Association in conjunction with Amsterdam Exchanges calculate and publish a new European index on real estate, the EPRA Index. Amsterdam Exchanges will announce on a quarterly basis the outcome of the periodic review of the index. Amsterdam Exchanges calculate the index every 15 seconds making the EPRA Index Europe's first real time index focused on the European real estate sector.
