    In the aftermath of the tragic events in the United States, the SWX Swiss Exchange has been continuously assessing the situation since yesterday afternoon. In concurrence with major market participants and other European securities exchanges, trading on the SWX Swiss Exchange remained open yesterday, and today commenced as usual at 09:00 am.

    Mr.Kittiratt Na-Ranong, the President of the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) disclosed that the SET Board of Governors in its extraordinary meeting today (12 September 2001) concluded that the alleged terrorist attack in the United States of America (U.S.A) on 11 September 2001 has greatly affected all world exchanges. Information on this matter remains unclear at present and more clear information is needed to enable careful investment and to avoid an imbalance of advantages and disadvantages
