  • Nasdaq Shatters Share Volume Record Also Sets New Record For Transaction Volume

    The Nasdaq Stock Market® announced today that it had its biggest share volume day ever, with a preliminary figure of 1,646,000,000 shares traded. Nasdaq's previous record was set yesterday (November 16), with 1,495,994,800 shares changing hands. Six of the 10 highest share volume days in Nasdaq's history have occurred during the past two weeks.

    Trading hours for all contracts of the Exchange will start from 8:45a.m. on November 29, 1999 responding to MITI (Ministry of International Trade and Industry)'s announcement that the Preliminary Report on Indices of Industrial Production, Producer's Shipments and Producer's Inventory (Oct. 99) will be released at 8:50a.m. on this day.
