  • TSX Group Inc., TSX Inc. - Underwriting Syndicate Exercises Over-Allotment Option To Purchase 2,846,736 Common Shares Of TSX Group Inc.

    TSX Group Inc. (TSX: X) and TSX Inc. (formerly The Toronto Stock Exchange Inc.) announced today that TSX Group Inc.'s underwriters have exercised in full their over-allotment option to purchase 2,846,736 common shares of TSX Group Inc. at the initial public offering price of $18.00 per share. The over-allotment option closing is expected to occur on November 19, 2002. The total net proceeds to be received on exercise of the over-allotment option will be paid to former shareholders of TSX Inc.

    Yesterday the TSX Group became the first North American stock exchange to go public. The event will be commemorated on Friday, November 15, 2002 with a listing ceremony at Stock Market Place.

    Euronext NV registers this quarter another strong progress of its revenues. These amount to € 253.5 mio in Q3 2002 against € 226.5 mio for the same period in 2001.     Standard & Poor's will make the following changes in the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index: After the close of trading on Wednesday, November 13, 2002, Triquest Energy Corporation (TSXVN:TRI) will be deleted from the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index. The shares of the company will begin trading on the TSX at the open on Thursday, November 14, 2002.
