BrokerTec Futures Exchange Surpasses 30,000 In Daily Screen-Traded Volume -

Continuing its string of milestones, BrokerTec Futures Exchange, the nation's only fully-electronic fixed income futures exchange, announced that it surpassed 30,000 contracts traded in a single day for the first time and set a record daily screen-traded volume of 31,380 contracts yesterday (November 14th). In addition, BTEX set record volumes in both its 10-year Treasury note and 30-year Treasury bond futures of 13,641 and 12,986 contracts, respectively.

Standard & Poor's will make the following changes in the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index: After the close of trading on Thursday, November 14, 2002, the shares of Ventures Resource Corporation (TSXVN:VRS) will be consolidated on a 1-for-10 basis. The ticker symbol will change to VRC and the CUSIP number will change to 922935 20 0. The number of shares issued and outstanding will be 12,225,579 and there are no shares under escrow.

On November 6th, 2002, the Federal Commission for the Securities Market of Russia has registered "Uralsvyazinform" new emission report. This emission related to the merger of "Uralsvyazinform" and Ural regional companies has affected the Initial values of the RTS Index, RTS Technical Index and correction factors used in the RTS Composite and S&P/RUX Indices calculation.

Nymex To Raise Palladium Margins

The New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc., today announced that it would increase the margins on its December 2002 palladium futures contracts as of the close of business today to $5,000 from $2,500 for clearing members; to $5,500 from $2,750 for members; and to $6,750 from $3,375 for customers.

NYBOT's European Warehouses To Invoice In U.S. Dollars

The New York Board of Trade (NYBOT®) announced today that since the price of delivery of Exchange Coffee is based on U.S. Dollars, all storage invoicing done by the warehouses and the deliverers shall also be in U.S. Dollars regardless of the delivery port. Under NYBOT's Coffee, Sugar and Cocoa Exchange (CSCE) Coffee "C" rules, it requires the deliverer to give the receiver one business day free of storage and to bill the receiver for any remaining prepaid storage.

NYBOT To Waive Exchange Fees

The New York Board of Trade (NYBOT®) announced today that its Board of Governors has determined to waive exchange fees on futures and option contracts executed on behalf of members' and member firms' proprietary accounts. The fee waiver will commence on Monday, November 18, 2002 and remain in effect through Tuesday, December 31, 2002.
