The Frankfurt Stock Exchange (FWB Frankfurter Wertpapierbörse) has amended a provision in the Exchange Rules that required equities transactions to be settled through the central securities depository, Clearstream. As a result, exchange transactions can now be settled through any duly registered Wertpapiersammelbank in the Federal Republic of Germany. CFTC Publishes LCH Clearnet Request To Expand DCO Registration Order

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission has published a request from LCH.Clearnet Ltd (LCH) to amend the October 2001 Commission order registering LCH as a derivatives clearing organization. The amendments would, among other things, permit LCH to clear financial futures and options executed on a designated contract market, in addition to the over-the-counter interest rate swaps and commercial energy contracts that it currently clears.
CBOT Sets All-Time Daily Trading Volume Record

The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT®) today announced that the exchange had its busiest trading day ever on February 26, with volume reaching 3,354,490 contracts. The prior record was 3,331,999 set on July 31, 2003.

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) welcomes the overall corporate governance score of 8.3 out of a possible 10 from Standard and Poor's (S&P) which said a score of 8 reflected strong corporate governance processes and practices. The overall score of 8.3 matches the results of the previous evaluation, which were announced in October 2002.
