The Kosdaq Stock Market Hosted The "Asian New Markets Forum Korea 2001" In Seoul

The Kosdaq Stock Market Inc. hosted a Conference in Seoul on October 25 ~ 26, called the "Asian New Markets Forum Korea 2001" consisting of CEOs and Experts, to enhance dialogue between the Asian New Markets and to foster more cooperation and understanding. The participating Markets included Kosdaq, Jasdaq, Shenzhen Stock Exchange, and Taiwan OTC.

NYMEX: EFP Filing Deadlines

Effective immediately, all EFP submission deadlines will return to their pre-September 11, 2001 standard timing. For example, the day after expiration EFP deadlines for the now-expired November 2001 Heating Oil, Unleaded Gasoline and Propane contracts is 2:00 p.m. today, Thursday, November 1, 2001. Generally, all other EFPs must be submitted by the close of each futures market on a daily basis.

KCBT Volume Increases In October Compared To September

The Kansas City Board of Trade trading volume rebounded in October when compared to September, but was not up to the levels of the previous October. However, the increase in volume was a positive sign, indicating market volume could be resuming the upward trend that was evident prior to September 11.

FTSE Creates New Techmark Mediscience Index

FTSE, the global index group, today announces a new index, FTSE techMARK mediscience, designed to reflect the market performance of growth companies listed on the London Stock Exchange's (LSE) new market, techMARK mediscience. The new index will begin calculation when the market opens on November 02.

European Energy Exchange EEX: Record Turnover On Integrated Spot And Futures Market. Continuing rise in volume on the futures market

The European Energy Exchange EEX released its turnover figures for the month of October on Thursday. A total of 6.14 million MWh was traded in the integrated spot and futures market, about 80 percent higher than the previous month's figure (3.46 million MWh in September). The October total includes 870,240 MWh in the spot market (737,721 MWh in September), the third-highest monthly volume since the launch in August. Eurex Turns Over 63.7 Million Contracts In October - Second-best Monthly Volume - Record Trading Volumes In Options On Bobl And Schatz Futures, Dow Jones Euro STOXX 50 And Nokia - Continuing Strong Trend In Index And Equity Derivatives.

Eurex, the international derivatives market, traded and settled 63.7 million contracts in October. This is the second-best monthly volume to date for the world's leading derivatives market and 69 percent higher than the number traded in October last year. During the first 10 months of trading in the year 2001, a total of 556 million contracts changed hands at Eurex. Eurex had traded 454 million contracts for the year 2000 as a whole, thus setting a new worldwide record.

Deutsche Boerse: 315 Billion Euros In Turnover On The German Stock Exchanges - Xetra Record In SDAX Stocks

A total of 315 billion euros in volume was traded on the German stock exchanges in October, about 15 percent below the previous month's level (September: 370.6 billion euros). The October total comprises 225,6 billion euros in equities, warrants and exchange-traded funds as well as 89.4 billion euros in fixed-income securities.
